• Haw River Assembly
  The Haw River Assembly is a non-profit citizens' group founded in 1982 to restore and protect the Haw River and Jordan Lake.
  
  
• Conservation Council of NC
  The Conservation Council of NC is a statewide lobbying organization dedicated to advocating on behalf of North Carolina's environment.
  
  
• Environment North Carolina
  Environment North Carolina is a statewide, citizen-based environmental advocacy organization.
  
  
• Environmental Defense
  Environmental Defense is dedicated to protecting the environmental rights of all people, including the right to clean air, clean water, healthy food and flourishing ecosystems.
  
  
• NC Conservation Network
  The NC Conservation Network is a statewide network of over 120 organizations focused on protecting North Carolina's environment and public health.
  
  
• NC Sierra Club
  The Sierra Club's North Carolina Chapter was formed in 1970 and currently has 19,000 members and 13 local groups across the state.
  
  
• Southern Environmental Law Center
  For the past 20 years, the Southern Environmental Law Center has used the full power of the law to conserve clean water, healthy air, wild lands, and livable communities throughout the Southeast.
