Jordan's Creeks

The Jordan Lake watershed reaches from Greensboro east to Durham and Chapel Hill.  Many creeks and streams feed Jordan Lake; the following are among the most well-known:

• North and South Buffalo Creeks
• Big and Little Alamance Creeks
• Haw River
• Stinking Creek
  
• New Hope Creek
• Northeast Creek
• Third Fork Creek
• Bolin Creek
• Morgan Creek

Many of these creeks, like Jordan Lake, have been damaged by excessive nitrogen and phosphorous pollution. Measures to clean up Jordan Lake will restore their health as well.
